The Road Safety Club

We know that London is a busy city, with lots of traffic and distractions that can be dangerous for young children. Transport for London are committed to delivering Vision Zero, to eradicate deaths and serious injuries from London’s roads. To support this aim, a behaviour change education campaign was needed to start instilling road safety behaviours from a young age.

We set out to create everyday little lessons for safety-savvy children, that could be delivered in early years settings or at home with parents and carers. We knew that play was key to pre-school children’s learning and development, so a fun and activity-based structure was essential for the resources. With the help of an education specialist, we created a programme that aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
